About the Founder

TrustCheck AI is an independent public-interest initiative founded by Dr. Abeer Saleh Alshammari, a cybersecurity governance, risk and compliance (GRC), and AI-governance professional and researcher.

Her work focuses on cybersecurity governance, GRC, AI governance, cybersecurity risk management, information security, and digital resilience — grounded in recognized frameworks including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, and COBIT, alongside a broader commitment to practical cybersecurity awareness.

TrustCheck AI reflects that focus applied specifically to U.S. individuals and small organizations: translating cybersecurity governance concepts that are often written for large enterprises into guidance that a small business owner or sole proprietor can actually use, at no cost.

Why this project exists

Most cybersecurity tooling and guidance assumes a dedicated IT or security team. TrustCheck AI was built on the premise that practical, transparent, and privacy-conscious cybersecurity decision-support should be available to everyone — not just organizations that can afford a consultant.
